Threat Leads to a Student's Arrest in Pike Co

* The Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville and the Pike Co School Officials are investigating threats made at East Ridge High School last week. School Officials said a student made verbal threats to harm another student at the High School. On Wednesday Kentucky State Police arrested one student and charged him with terroristic threatening. The student, whose identity has not been officially released due to his age, was taken to a juvenile facility in Breathitt Co. KSP said they responded to East Ridge High School on Monday for an assault complaint after a video on social media showed a fight between two boys, one of those was the student arrested on Wednesday. School officials said they learned Wednesday threats were made before the fight happened. Police charged the student who attacked the boy with fourth-degree assault.

* In a separate incident on Friday, Police also investigated at Pike Co Central High School after threats where allegedly made at the school, but Officials found nothing to support those threats.
