According to the Boyd Co. B.O.E. a bullet was found Wednesday morning on a school bus. The school district said a student found a single .22 caliber bullet on a bus that goes to and from Boyd Co High School and the Boyd Co Career and Technical Center. The student turned the bullet over to the bus driver, who then gave it to authorities. An investigation was launched by the BCHS administration and several student on the bus were questioned. No other bullets or weapons were located and schools officials say extra Deputies will be at the high school for the next several days as a safety precaution.
Last week officials in Boyd Co opened up an investigation after two students allegedly made threats of violence against the Boyd Co High School and Middle School. A student reportedly talked about bringing a gun to school while using FaceTime. Law enforcement and school officials were immediately notified and upon investigation at least one of the students involved was charged with terroristic threatening.
