Man Arrested after Fleeing from Police

According to the KSP in Pikeville, a Pike Co man was arrested on multiple charges, Wednesday night, after he decided to run from Troopers because of a broken headlight. KSP said they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by in the parking lot at Appalachian Plaza around 9:30 PM. Police activated their lights, and the operator of the vehicle accelerated, exiting the parking lot and attempting to flee. Police say the vehicle allegedly ran a stop sign and continued into Williamson, West Virginia and finally came to a stop in the parking lot of Goodwill and Eastwood, but allegedly tried to flee on foot. Arrested was 42-year-old Andrew Eastwood, of Pinson Fork. He was charged with various traffic violations, endangering the welfare of a minor, wanton endangerment, and fleeing or evading police. He was lodged in the Pike Co Detention Center.
