Students with W.R. Castle Elementary School’s Community Problem Solving Team have been making a big impact for several children here in Johnson County.
The group, known as the “Dream Team,” have been raising money to provide beds for children in the area in need of a new one – and so far they’ve been able to donate around 75 beds.
It’s known around the school as “Project Snooze” and has seen a great outpouring of support from the community.
Several people and organizations have made significant donations – including Chris Stapleton who has donated $5,000 to the cause.
There are several more children in need of a bed on a wait list.
If you’d like to help, email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the school.
Dream Team members include Loralei Arms, Jacob Bowen, Adyson Burchett, Cole Butcher, Adara Campbell, Brannan Campbell, Logan Frazier, Kaylee Gibbs, Cain Grim, Brailyn Harless, Kaylyn McKenzie, Haylee Marsillett, Constance Martin, Lauren Trimble and Paxton Trimble.
They’re coached by Gaylena Burchett and Heather Campbell.
