According to a Kentucky State Police investigation, troopers arrested multiple people in connection with the murder of Pikeville Police Officer Scotty Hamilton, who was shot and killed while on duty last week in Pikeville. Kentucky State Police Officials report that Michael Slone, Greg Slone, Amanda Dotson, and Jeanne Blackburn helped transport and hide the accused shooter John Russell Hall from police following Officer Hamilton’s shooting. Police said Hall contacted Amanda Dotson and Michael Slone and asked for transportation to a different location. Police said Dotson provided the vehicle and she and Michael Slone picked up and drove Hall to Greg Slone’s house. Troopers said Greg Slone, Jeanne Blackburn, Amanda Dotson, and Michael Slone were all at Greg Slone’s home at the time when they arrested Hall on Thursday.
Police said all four individuals knew Hall as wanted by Police and they have all been charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension 1st degree. WYMT reports that Chief Assistant Pike Co Attorney, Tommy Chamberlin requested a 10,000 dollar bond be issued for all four and the judge granted the request. This is more than double the courts normal maximum bond for a class D felony. Reports indicate a fifth person, Curtis Hall, was arrested at the scene of the shooting Tuesday night. Police said Hall was under the influence of drugs and fled the scene. Police found Curtis Hall hiding in bushes in a yard and arrested him. Curtis Hall has been charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest. No further updates have been made available at this time and we will add additional information once it becomes available.
