A Magoffin Co. man, that had been convicted on numerous charges including attempted murder, but paroled earlier this year, was arrested over the weekend in Magoffin Co. According to the Magoffin Co. Sheriff’s Office, Deputies arrested 51 year-old Colonel Lewis Bolen of Salyersville on Friday. Reports indicate that Bolen had went to a Goat Mountain residence on two occasions allegedly asking for someone who had a handgun to sell. The resident said he kept saying he had cash to buy one, but also allegedly said he was going to kill a man who needed to die, then he was also going to burn his house down. When Deputies arrived at the location they arrested Bolen and charged him with trespassing, terroristic threatening and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. Bolen was paroled on January 19, 2018 after serving less than 7 years of his 20 year sentence for attempted murder. In 2013 Bolen was arrested after firing a gun at several people.
