According to WYMT reports, a Johnson Co. woman who pleaded guilty to an amended hindering prosecution charge in connection with the 2012 murders of Larry and Sandra Blanton, is now facing a new federal charge. Amanda Fannin has been charged with assault. That information comes from the Eastern District of North Carolina’s Federal Courts. WYMT reports that a Pennsylvania man claims Fannin took a seat under their canopy while at Hatteras Beach in August. He told investigators she started to curse and he asked her to stop because children were around. That is when the victim claims Fannin slapped him in the face. U.S. Marshalls arrested Fannin Monday morning here in Johnson Co. Fannin pleaded guilty to charges related to the murders of the Blanton’s and a judge sentenced her to 3 years in prison. In that case, her boyfriend Willie Blanton (the son of Larry and Sandra) admitted to killing his parents and burying their bodies on the family farm.
