More than 250 state vehicles are going up for auction next week in Frankfort. Each year the state rotates vehicles out of its motor pool and auctions off the inventory to the public. According to the state, inventory this year includes nearly 120 pickup trucks and SUVs. It says vehicles range in make, model and year and are categorized as runners or non-runners. In 2017 the average sale price of running vehicles was approximately $2,200, according to the state. The vehicles will be auctioned off Tuesday, April 24 at 10 a.m. at the State Service Garage, 513 Barrett Street in Frankfort. Individuals can pre-register and inspect the vehicles from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 23 or register and view them the morning of the sale from 8 to 9:50 a.m. A list of vehicles are available online at surplusproperty.ky.gov.
