A Pike Co man has recently been indicted for allegedly attempting to entice a juvenile into unlawful sexual activity. According to reports Darren Belcher, 50 of Ashcamp, is facing a class D felony charge for allegedly using a computer or communication system for the purpose of procuring or promoting the use of a minor for unlawful sexual activity. Officials say Belcher allegedly knew the victim in the case and allegedly offered the child money to take part in this sexual activity. Belcher has been lodged in the Pike Co Detention Center on charges related to the case and could be facing up to 5 years in prison if convicted. Officials add that Belcher has previously been convicted for a sex-related crime and served a 10-year sentence in that case.
