According to a news release from the Johnson Co Sheriff’s Office, Deputies Lauren O’Bryan and Jerry Wiley were patrolling Stave Branch in the Staffordsville community when they noticed a Jeep parked in the back parking lot of the Country Music Highway Museum. The deputies made contact with the 2 subjects that occupied the vehicle to make sure they were ok and noticed the driver (Jason Mollette) had blood shot eyes and slurred speech. Mollette also admitted to shooting up suboxone a few hours prior. While searching Mollette, deputies found a scale in his pocket. Upon searching the vehicle deputies found a gray zip up bag with 3 baggies containing a crystal substance believed to be Methamphetamine as well as 2 snorting straws. Deputies weighed the baggies of the crystal substances, which totaled *31.0 GRAMS*. Mollette and the passenger (Kristin Davis) both denied ownership of the paraphernalia and the baggies of crystal substances. *More charges are pending based on lab results.*
* Jason Mollette, 29, was charged with DUI, Possession of controlled substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
* Kristin Davis, was charged with Possession of controlled substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Both Mollette and Davis were lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
