Dan has a media background both in news and advertising. He has formerly served as editor of two area newspapers, as well as news director at WSIP. His radio career began at WSIP while still in high school. He is currently active in various civic projects through Paintsville Tourism and the Johnson County Extension Service. C.J. is another WSIP personality who has spent several years in the business. C.J. started in radio in 1988 at WXKZ in Prestonsburg. He stayed there for two years before accepting a position at WMDJ in Martin. After only a year at WMDJ, and with only 3 years of broadcasting experience, C.J. took the huge leap into large market radio and started work at WWWW in Detroit, Michigan. He spent seven years there before returning to eastern KY and taking an on-air job with WSIP in August of ’98. C.J. is on the afternoon drive from 4-8pm. You can contact at cjthedjwsip@yahoo.com.

Spike Berkhimer is the General Manager of WSIP AM/FM. He began his radio career as a board operator and sports announcer for WSIP in 1993. He moved to operations and sports director of WSIP in 1995 and in 2001 assumed the role of General Manager.

Regional Sales Representative Norm Marcum’s radio career has spanned 20+ years and has included on-air, remote broadcasting, programming and sales. The Bell Co. native lives in Prestonsburg with wife Kim and son Jordan, and all are active in the work of Fitzpatrick Baptist Church, as well as Cub and Boy Scouting. |

Willie is the Traffic Coordinator for WSIP. He has been on staff since February 2004, during which time he has done alittle bit of everything. He has been a board operator, remote broadcaster, and on-air personality. You can hear him on Oldies 1490AM as he is the host of the AM Radio edition of the Swap Shop. During the summer he can be seen at the ballpark doing play-by-play for baseball and softball games.
