Representatives from several groups and organizations were on hand on for a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday night at the SIPP Theatre in Paintsville.
Paintsville Mayor Bill Mike Runyon shared the stage with representatives from Paintsville Tourism, the Paintsville/Johnson County Chamber of Commerce, the Paintsville Main Street Assoication, the Paintsville/Johnson County Trail Town Committee, the Paintsville/Johnson County Garden Club and the Paintsville Recreation Center.
Mayor Runyon highly recommended the entities work better together in order to move forward in the future.
Catherine Castle with the Paintsville/Johnson County Trail Town Committee announced the group is currently working toward a goal of building a canoe launch ramp at Paint Creek Park.
Andrea Kennedy spoke on behalf of the Paintsville/Johnson County Garden Club; their goal is to reserve grant money toward building a greenhouse in the area.
Mayor Runyon also noted plans to build a new state-of-the-art recreation center in Paintsville.
Organizers say they hope to hold another Town Hall meeting in the coming months.
