* Kentucky’s leading scorer and the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year, Kevin Knox, has decided to put his name in the 2018 NBA Draft and plans to sign with an agent, which would effectively end his collegiate career at UK. The NBA Draft is June 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Knox led the team in scoring at 15.5 points per game. He also contributed 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. Overall, Knox reached double-figure scoring in 30 games this season and had a team-high 10 games of 20 or more points, while also leading the team in rebounding on eight occasions. Knox is the second Wildcat to enter his name in the draft, joining PJ Washington, who declared last Tuesday. Washington, however, will not hire an agent, allowing him the option to return to college.
* Five-star power forward E.J. Montgomery, out of Marietta, Georgia , made it official on Instagram Monday morning and confirmed by 247Sports.com, that he has verbally committed to the UK basketball team. Montgomery is Ranked #12 in the class of 2018 on 247Sports, Rivals has him 11 and ESPN 16. The 6-foot-10, 215-pound senior de-committed from Auburn the same day in September the FBI revealed an initial investigation into the SEC program. Duke and Vanderbilt were also pursuing the talented big man.
