Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear posted an update on the legal action to stop Senate Bill 151. The court has granted a “protective order” to prevent Governor Bevin’s attorneys from deposing members of the AG’s office, the Kentucky Education Association and the Kentucky State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police. Beshear said the plan was to ask questions that were “absolutely unnecessary” to the legal process. AG Beshear said the decision was another victory on the path to have the sewage-bill-turned-pension bill declared unconstitutional and called it “another positive ruling.” The Governor’s attorneys will be able to respond to the decision on May 23.
