A Powell Co man, accused of killing a man with a hammer and then living with the body in his apartment, has been sentenced for a lesser charge. Police report that Jeremiah Vaught hit 22-year-old Josh Ross in the head with a hammer. Vaught was arrested in October and charged with murder, evidence tampering and abuse of a corpse and trying to hide the hammer and a knife. His murder charge was downgraded to manslaughter, which he’ll serve ten years on those charges.
