The Powell Co Sheriff’s Office report they were involved in a high-speed chase Tuesday that resulted in two arrests and a damaged Stanton Police cruiser.
Officials say the chase happened around 3:00 pm, when Deputies pulled over a Chevy Avalanche near the Stanton exit.
As Deputies were talking to the occupants of the vehicle, the driver “slammed” it into gear and took off.
Deputies said they clocked the truck going well over 100 miles per hour on the Mountain Parkway, driving through the median and switching directions at least three times before eventually leaving the highway.
The chase ended when the truck hit a Stanton Police cruiser.
The Officer in the cruiser was reportedly not hurt.
Deputies arrested one of the occupants at the scene identified as Tyler Jackson, 26, but two others ran away.
Officers would arrest one of the other men about two hours later after he was found hiding in the woods nearby.
He was identified as Christopher Hamill.
At last report, the driver is still on the run, but is believed to be somewhere in the Cane Creek Road area.
Jackson was charged with public intoxication and an outstanding warrant out of Indiana.
Hamill is facing evading from police and public intoxication of a controlled substance charge.
