A Magoffin Co man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly tried to set his father’s home on fire. According to WYMT reports, Gregory R. Hall allegedly broke out the windows of his father’s home and then went under the home to try to set it on fire. Reports also indicated that when Magoffin Co. Sheriff Deputies found Hall, he allegedly “balled up” his fists and demanded Officers to let him walk. WYMT reports that when Hall was placed into custody and into a Police cruiser, Hall allegedly said would kill the Officer and then began head-butting the cage in the car. Deputies said Hall admitted to then of trying to burn down his father’s house and said he was on drugs. Gregory Hall has been charged with third-degree arson, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, menacing, criminal mischief and third-degree terroristic threatening. He is lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
