KY 2381 between mile points 1 and 2 will be closed on Friday, June 22, from 8 a.m. until around 11:30 a.m. to replace a cross drain that runs underneath the pavement.
Highway District 12 Superintendent Barry Spriggs said the crew must open cut the roadway to remove the failed cross drain and install a new one. The new one is then covered and the pavement put back in place.
“We hope that within two or three hours, weather permitting, we can have the road back open,” Spriggs said. “We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this will improve drainage on KY 2381 and that will make the road safer for everyone.”
