A Pike Co woman was indicted Thursday for manslaughter after a crash that killed another woman back in January. According to reports, the two vehicle crash happened January 16 on Chloe Road in Pikeville. Two people were injured and taken to a hospital. One of the injured, Kara B. Patrick, 24, died at the hospital. Police originally believed slick roads were a contributing factor in the crash, but a grand jury indicted Kristen Damron, 24, of Elkhorn City for second-degree manslaughter. Officials said Damron “operated a motor vehicle in such a wanton manner as to cause the death of Kara Patrick.” Damron is being held at the Pike Co Detention Center. Her arraignment is set for July 13 at 9:30 AM.
