According to reports, a recent jail escape attempt at the Pike Co. Detention Center has led to three indictments.
25-year-old Tyler Thacker, 20-year-old Christopher Holbrooks, and 29-year-old Kalton Adkins, were indicted recently in Pike Co. accused of attempting to escape from the Pike Co Detention Center.
The three men allegedly tried to gain entry to a corridor of the jail with utility pipes and attempted to leave their pod, but a Deputy Jailer noticed Holbrooks and Adkins standing near a doorway and found the doorway had been broken into.
Jail personnel found Thacker inside the utility corridor.
All three men have been charged with a misdemeanor charge of attempted escape in the second degree and felony criminal mischief.
Adkins and Holbrook could face five-year prison sentences and a 20-year prison sentence for Tyler Thacker, who was also charged as being a persistent felony offender in the first degree.
All three remain lodged in the Pike Co Detention Center.
