A group of students at Prestonsburg High School have created an app that has won the US Congressional App Challenge.
In a press release, Floyd County School Superintendent Danny Adkins congratulates the information technology team consisting of Jonathan Dotson, Jacob Pitts, Blake Ratliff and Michael Shepherd.
The app the team created lists the lakes in eastern Kentucky, along with information about the regulation sizes for different fish at each lake and information about fishing licenses in Kentucky.
The app will be featured for a year at the US Capital Building and on the US House of Representatives web site.
Adkins says this is the third consecutive year the school has won the Congressional App Challenge.
