A Louisa woman was arrested over the weekend after Police said she set a house on fire with a man inside. According to the Louisa Police Dept. on Sunday, July 1, Christina Martin, age 61 of Louisa entered a man’s home and set fire to the curtains with a lighter, then left the residence. Reports indicated that a neighbor saw the house on fire and notified the man, who was still inside. The man allegedly grabbed the curtains and threw them outside. Police said the man had possible burns on his left hand, but refused medical treatment. Martin would later be located about two blocks away from the man’s house and was arrested. She has been charged with first-degree arson and was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. The Louisa Police Dept. are continuing to investigate this incident.
