According to the Johnson Co Sheriff’s Office, a man was arrested Thursday evening (July 5, 2018) after breaking into a Paintsville residence.
Sheriff Deputies report that Kenneth M. Asher, 35, of Nicholasville broke into a home in Paintsville where a woman and a five-month-old child were inside.
Deputies say the woman, whose identity has not been officially released, took the infant into a bedroom and locked the door.
Reports indicated Kenneth Asher and the woman ended up fighting for a gun Asher had in his possession, to which the woman was able to eventually grab away from Asher.
When Deputies arrived at the location, Asher was asked to show his hands, but he refused and was tased and placed under arrest.
Asher has been charged with first-degree burglary, resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a minor and menacing.
The Johnson Co. Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this incident.
