We have new information on the confirmed Hepatitis A case out of Pike County.
Health officials announced on Wednesday that the person diagnosed earlier this week is a man who works at the Applebee’s in Pikeville.
The restaurant is reportedly fully cooperating with health officials as they make inspections, and they say the risk to anyone who has eaten there is very low.
This is the only reported case of Hepatitis A in Pike County as a result of this outbreak.

More cases of Hepatitis A are being confirmed across the state…the latest in Pike County.
On Tuesday, health officials confirmed Pike County’s first case of Hepatitis A in the outbreak.
Multiple media reports are reporting that the infected person is a man who works in the food service industry, but health officials have not officially released that information.
