Just in time for “Back to School,” free haircuts were given to children this past weekend at First United Methodist Church in Paintsville.
The event was held in the church’s Family Life Center.
Over one hundred children received a free haircut from stylists Shelley LeMaster and Nancy Pelphrey.
This marked the second year for the now annual event, which has quickly became a huge success.
Ramanda Penix with the church tells us the two stylists handled the massive number of children very well; “these ladies kept the stylist stations clean, played games with the kids, and feed them snacks as they waited for their turn in the chair.”
Penix also wants to thank the ladies from the church that worked this event, including Esta Penix, Tara Slone, Erica Ash, Christina Gwinn, Anna Butcher, Claire Butcher, Alexus Gwinn, and Diana Jaynes.
