A Sandy Hook man has been sentenced in the death of his 5-year-old son, who died as a result of a blunt force trauma injury from 2011. Nicholas Ballou pleaded guilty to murder on Aug. 2. According to reports, Ballou caused the death of his son Landyn by inflicting blunt force injury to the boy’s head when the child was just 2-months-old. That incident happened in Aug. of 2011, but Landyn did not die until Sept. of 2016. Ballou was already serving a sentence for two counts of criminal abuse. Now a judge has sentenced him to 25 years in prison.
