A week-long search is at an end as the remains of a Rowan County child have been found in Morehead.
The body of Bryce Combs was found in Triplett Creek nearly two miles from where he was swept away by flood waters.
Hundreds of volunteers, over a dozen fire departments, and multiple rescue crews helped with the search for Combs.
Searchers are expected to head out for another day of looking for an eight-year-old boy who’s been missing since Sunday.
Crews ended their search yesterday without finding the boy who was swept into a storm drain by flood waters over the weekend.
Morehead Emergency Management Director Ronnie Day says they had been holding out for a miracle, but now says they are simply hoping to find the young boy’s body.
