Representatives from several community entities were on hand for a Town Hall meeting Tuesday evening at the SIPP.
You may notice in the photo there’s a Christmas set on the stage of the SIPP; that’s because The Story Patch productions will host more performances this week!
Those in attendance heard an update of plans from the City of Paintsville, Paintsville Tourism, the Paintsville/Johnson County Chamber of Commerce, the Paintsville Main Street Association, the Paintsville Recreation Center, and the Apple Festival Board. The event is an open forum for the community to ask questions of what is being planned.
Paintsville’s Tourism director Josh Johnson noted some of the ways the SIPP Theatre is being used throughout the month.
Judy Daniel spoke on behalf of the Paintsville/Johnson County Chamber of Commerce.
Scott “Shoes” Hale spoke of some of the new additions to the Paintsville Recreation Center.
Kathy Jones was on hand representing the Paintsville Main Street Association. Jones was recently nominated as Interim Director of the association.
Board member Brian Jeffiers represented the Kentucky Apple Festival Board. He spoke of the upcoming festival.
Paintsville Mayor Bill Mike Runyon closed out the meeting.
The next Town Hall meeting will likely be held in January.
An exact date will be announced at the October Paintsville City Council meeting.
