Here is an update to a story from Wednesday, through autopsy results from the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort, it has been determined the death of a Clay Co. woman, whose deceased body was found near a Clay Co grocery store earlier this week, has been ruled accidental.
According to the original story, authorities were called to an area near Colson’s Market just outside Manchester after a couple found a body in a ditch.
The Clay Co Coroner identified the body as Carol Miller.
He says there were signs of trauma to her body.
Miller’s body was sent to Frankfort for an autopsy and the results showed the death as accidental.
The Coroner’s report said that Miller, 68, fell down an embankment into the creek and broke her neck, which caused her death.
Miller had also suffered a minor head injury in a separate fall.
