Water pressure issues and line blow-outs forced the Martin Co. Water District to shut off water to the entire county on Tuesday afternoon. A post made by Greg Scott on the Martin Co. Water District’s Facebook Tuesday afternoon said, “Although the issue we were having has now been resolved, it has caused several main lines to blow out. We have had to turn the water off to the entire county. We do apologize for this and are working to repair the leaks.” Workers spent the majority of the day Tuesday working diligently to fix the problems that caused the shutdown. At last report, water officials were able to repair the breaks and turn the water back on around 4 p.m. There is a boil water advisory for the entire county.
