Law enforcement agencies in Morehead spent the early part of Thursday investigating an active shooter threat that was called into the St. Claire Regional Medical Center and forced Hospital into a temporary lockdown. According to Morehead Police Captain Kyle Callahan, he says there was “no shooting,” but there was a report of someone with a gun. A spokesperson for the Hospital confirmed the lockdown occurred following the report and it lasted for less than one hour. Police investigated and confirmed there was no threat. The Kentucky State Police is working with local authorities following the report.
