* The Kentucky Wildcats football team went from disappointment with their loss 2 weeks ago vs Georgia to lose the chance at the SEC East title, to outright frustration as the CATS went into Saturdays game vs Tennessee with a chance to snap a 16 game losing streak when playing in Knoxville, but UK lost 24-7. The Wildcats were unable to break that streak, falling to 7-3 on the season. Kentucky was shut out in the first half of play vs the Volunteers and didn’t score until late in the third quarter on a 19-yard touchdown pass from QB – Terry Wilson to TE – CJ Conrad. The Wildcat offense tallied only 77 yards rushing and 262 total offense, while allowing Tennessee 414 yards of total offense, 217 yards on the ground. The loss is a demoralizing one for Kentucky, eliminating just about any chance at a New Year’s Six Bowl Game, and giving the Cats back-to-back losses for the first time this season. Kentucky will be back in action on this Saturday, hosting Middle Tennessee State at 12 PM.
* UK’s 24-7 loss Saturday vs Tennessee dropped the Wildcats nine spots in the Amway Coaches Poll to # 21 and UK fell eight spots to #20 in the AP Top 25 Poll.
* After leaving the University of Kentucky in 2017 due to academic issues, JaVonte Richardson announced Sunday that he will be returning to Lexington next year. Richardson attends Iowa Western Community College where he is playing JUCO Football. In six games he has racked up three touchdowns and over 300 yards.
