The Logan, W.Va Police Department reported they have recovered fake money at some local restaurants and businesses around Logan. According to a news release, the fake bills were recovered from a McDonald’s in Logan, as well at the local Walmart. Police said this style of fake money is legally sold online as training bills for cashiers and it is not illegal to have the fake bills, but it is illegal to pass it off as real money. Police are warning businesses and restaurants in the area to be aware of possible fake bills and do not accept the money, but try and get a good description of the person attempting to pay with the fake cash.
