* The Univ. of Kentucky football team finished their 2018 regular season Saturday and did so in impressive fashion over their in-state rival Louisville Cardinals in the annual Governor’s CUP. UK defeated the Cardinals 56-10 in Louisville. The win improved the CATS season record to 9-3, the program’s best record since 1977 when they finished at 10-1. UK RB Benny Snell finished with 100 yards and two touchdowns, while QB Terry Wilson threw for 17/23, 261 yards, and three touchdowns and ran for another. The Wildcats now wait to see which bowl game they will be selected to on Sunday, but many experts think they will play in the Citrus Bowl.
* Kentucky football moved up in the weekly Coaches and AP Polls. UK comes in at No. 16 in the AP and No.15 in the Coaches poll.
