Two men were arrested in Floyd Co on Thursday and have been charged with drug and firearm charges. According to the Floyd Co Sheriff’s Office, Deputies were following up on a drug investigation when they pulled a car over in the Maytown area of Floyd Co. Upon speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, identified as Christopher Slone, 28, of Wayland and Paul Milton, 45, of Garrett, Deputies found a handgun near the driver’s seat and called in the departments K-9 Officer “Drago” to search the vehicle. Deputies found additional guns inside the glove compartment along with several illegal drugs including crystal meth, pills, syringe needles and other paraphernalia. Christopher Slone was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance-first degree, possession of a controlled substance-second degree, operating on a suspended license, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Paul Milton was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance-first degree, possession of a controlled substance-second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both men were lodged in the Floyd Co. Detention Center.
