Deputies in Magoffin County arrested two people on drug charges earlier this week.
According to a report by the Salyersville Independent, a deputy noticed what he described as a suspicious driver switch-up at the Speedway station early Monday morning.
When deputies approached the vehicle they identified 26-year-old Alexander Ward Patrick of West Liberty.
Patrick failed a field sobriety test and admitted to law enforcement that he had smoked meth prior to operating the vehicle.
He was arrested along with 38-year-old Troy Adams of Salyersville.
Deputies reportedly found what is believed to have been crystal meth in Adams’ pants.
Both are facing several charges and have been lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
