A former Greenup Co teacher seen on video dragging an elementary school student down a hall has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge.
According to WSAZ reports, Trina Abrams appeared in court on Wednesday to enter a plea.
Abrams is accused of dragging a 9-year-old boy by his wrists in the October video.
The young boy, who has limited speech and has been diagnosed with autism and other disorders, allegedly received sprained wrists during the incident.
The Greenup Co School District says the teacher no longer teaches at Wurtland Elementary School.
Grennup Co Schools Superintendent Sherry Horsley, said the incident was reported to the Kentucky State Police, Child Protective Services and the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board.
